Real Living Wage Employer

We are committed to our colleagues and are proud that we have been accredited with the Real Living Wage, which guarantees our colleagues will be paid at least the Real Living Wage, which is higher than the National Minimum Wage, as the company has been accredited as a Real Living Wage Employer.

 

Avove is one of only 14,000 Real Living Wage employers countrywide who have committed to going further than the Government minimum in the interest of their colleagues.

Independently calculated each year based on living costs, the revised Real Living Wage is the only hourly rate calculated to help people meet their everyday needs. This rate is higher than the National Living Wage, the statutory amount calculated by the Government and the minimum amount an employer has to pay by law.

 

The 5% Club

Avove is committed to developing its people by joining The 5% Club, an industry-led initiative focused on driving momentum in the recruitment of its next generations of apprentices, graduates, T-Level students and sponsored students.

Avove is proud of its current offering for both colleague development and for young people to experience the industry or begin their careers with the company. There’s a range of opportunities available, including developmental apprenticeships, T-Level placements and a structured graduate scheme. Building our apprenticeship programmes further, particularly for new, young entrants is a priority as well as increasing the number and range of opportunities in our early careers offering in general with some exciting initiatives in the pipeline.
