Supporting Royal British Legion Poppy Day
Our teams pride themselves on volunteering in the community in which we work. Metering Operatives, Martin Doyle and Dylan Nelson, volunteered with the RBLI (Royal British Legion Industries) Poppy Appeal 2022 at Morrisons supermarket in Chadderon, Oldham on 4 November 2022.
The team raised more than £660 on the day, which was a new record for the Oldham Poppy appeal.
Martin and Dylan said:
We set ourselves a target and promised the Royal British Legion team that we’d be setting new records for them. We want to say a big thank you to Avove for allowing us to do this as part of the volunteering service. We really do appreciate being given the time to support a cause very close to our hearts.
At Avove, our colleagues can take advantage of volunteering days which gives them the opportunity to give back to their local communities.
